Konzert am 18. September 2015 in Lucky’s Luke Trier

When Alexander Selkirk was left by Captain Stradling on the island Juan Fernandez in 1704 to die he wasn’t sure if he would see another human being or his home ever again. After spending four long years by himself on that abandoned island it must have meant the world to him when he saw William Dampier and his ship appear on the horizon. His life as a landcrab was a short affair. After inspirering Daniel Defoe to write his masterpiece Robinson Crusoe, he was once again off to sea. He later died where he belonged; on a ship crossing the ocean.

i.explode.i’s story is not the same at all but let’s just say it is anyways. After touring, recording and playing in bands for several years, the members were stranded and stuck in everyday life. None of them were sure if they would ever enter a stage or hit the road again, when their saviour in form of a barge called i.explode.i appeared. The three friends did not have to be asked twice to jump on board and now they are off to sea again in hope that their golden boat will carry them to new shores and unknown harbours. Let’s hope they won’t end like Selkirk: dying of yellow fever in the middle of an ocean.
